In October 2022, President Ramaphosa submitted his response to the Zondo Commission to the South African Parliament. He committed to some 60 actions, most of them focused on institutional and regulatory reform. The first report of the National Anti-Corruption Advisory Council (NACAC) is a detailed assessment of progress made in implementing the President’s 60 commitments . This independent assessment was commissioned as part of NACAC’s work to advise the President on the implementation of the State Capture Commission recommendations. It is contained in Appendix S of NACAC’s report ‘to the President, the Cabinet, and the Country’. We are re-publishing it here as a more accessible (navigable) document.
