The 2026 National Budget highlights government’s commitment to infrastructure-led growth, with over R1 trillion allocated to public sector infrastructure spending over the medium term. Road infrastructure remains a key component of South Africa’s logistics system. As government prioritises infrastructure delivery, institutions such as the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) play an important role in financing and implementing strategic road infrastructure projects.
