The country’s demand for housing continues to outpace supply with significant student accommodation and general housing shortages. Globally, alternative building technologies have been adopted to accelerate delivery timelines, reduce lifecycle costs, and improve the quality of housing. TIn this presentation Dr Coralie van Reenen from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research explores the role of alternative building technologies in scaling up the delivery of housing. The webinar will highlight the benefits and limitations of alternative building technologies, and practical considerations for the government in closing the housing backlog.
