Evaluation of the Provision of Accommodation by the National Department of Public Works as Guided by the GIAMA Act 19 of 2007

Akwethu Engineering and Development was contracted by the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) in June 2020 to conduct the evaluation of the Accommodation Provision Programme of the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI). The evaluation study aimed to assess the implementation of Accommodation Provision Programme (AP Programme), with specific reference to current patterns of operational performance, results (delivery), and immediate outcomes, and propose how implementation can be strengthened. DPWI is mandated to provide fit for purpose accommodation efficiently, effectively, and sustainably to the different arms of the state.
